starting out

hi. my name is molly, and i am writing this first post for my friend assumpta to get her blog started. i am excited to have an opportunity to be involved with the global family foundation.

i believe assumpta's vision for change is a couragous and needed intention for the world, and hope others will join in on making this difference.

i will be involved with the technological side, and will try and keep this site up to date with news on rwanda as well as other countries that are affected by war and poverty...

Cawor, is a Christian association for widows and orphans of Rwanda, we as a group of christians of different congregations joined together in 1999 to start an organization intended to care for the orphans and widows from the Rwandan genocide. The main purpuse for us is to help the Rwandan "generation next" to come out of the trauma of this huge genocide of 1994. We also are working on peace and reconciliation between the Hutu and the Tusti peoples, we work as well with the people affected by HIV/AIDS, the poverty which is also a big challenge in our country. By working on these pieces, we hope to get the healing of our country.

Rwanda, had a bad reputation in the last years , and the drop of poison wich is division and ethnicity syndromefrom wich resulted the tribal hetred and countrywide massacre that took over a milions lives from 3 generations from 1959, 1973 and the last in 1994, how even thaugh there is a good governance, still the consequences left everywhere, in every way: physicaly, emotionally and spiritualy. Millions of peoples were killed and left many victims who are now orphans and widows, who were deprived of those who loved and cared for them, without hope, and some of them were rept and now are facing the trauma of Aid, poverty, homeless and hopless.
I had a dream(vision) wich I shared with others friends and families They joined me and together we started the association. How even thaugh the government has good managment in place, but they can not reach all that are supposed to be reached socially,that it takes one who communicates with the people on heart to heart and day to day basis, one who lives and sleeps with them, one who pray and talk to them spiritually,emotionaly and physically and give them the medecine wich would be the drip of love made from forgivness and reconciliation and that will be the only way to break the circle of hetred and killing spirit wich took control of our country for many generations and take it away of our coming generations. That takes much more than just words,needs ressources like money, houses, medecines, clothes, food, etc. A thought of a "CENTRE"would be appropriate to suggest at this juncture.

That to divise means of contuinity is absolute: for exemple having a piece of land to grow our own food for feeding: have more tomatoes and make more products from that, like juce,ketchup,pasta, and other vegetables that the project can produce and export out of the country, We mainly need investors who can provide jobs for these people by setting up in Rwanda all sort of farming and even texture industry.The project mainly need people who can create for those availible workers jobs and career opportunities.obviously every thing will need a minimum of training. Here we are talking about human investment through mission to teach and train some life skills: classroom to teach these widows and orphans, how to use their hands and talents, a place to teach those who can't read and/or write. Where to train them and put a fishing rod in their hands instead of spoon feeding them, provide conselling and medication for those who are infected by the HIV/AID.

I came here in the United state to do the training in the Gestal Institute to get knowlege in the healing process and take back to my country, as there are many opportunities in this country, I'm glad to have meet different people with big hearts to help me get to the mission, I will be back in Rwanda at the end of november 2007 up to the bigining of january and, now I'm working on the project to open the sewing shop in Rwanda for the widows and orphans, to make more income for the running of the association as well as creating jobs for the widows and the orphans, I got a donation of fabrics from a friend in Abissinian Christian Church of Colorado Miss Linda Heil, and my vision is to start the shop with the fabrics to organise a staff to teach the widows and the orphans. Puting these ladies and orphans together from the two differents etnics group will help us working on the unity and reconciliation of rwandans as those who are kind of widows, but not really and children who are kind of orphans but whose either husbands or parents are in prison they have a door opened in our project since they are victims and are also facing the same struggles as those who are really widows and orphans. the consequences of being unemployed for these two groups are: stress, poverty, nerves breakdown, suicid,...) I'm looking for people to donate for that project so that I will be able to settle it when I will be in Rwanda in November and will be back in january for my next session of the gestalt program. you can found the project in here as well as the show of the DVD.We are alredy working in the agriculture of tomatoes to make some income to come in help to the widows and orphans ,and had made the handcraft works wich is part of our culture wich is a common interest for both, Hutus and tutsis. You may watch the DVD showing what we are doing there,and we would realy appreciate having some people and friend who can get involved in rehabilitation ministry for Rwanda and for the rest of the world in trouble. In the other hand, I will be going to work on changing my visa, in to the business tourist visa, to help setting up a Non profit Global family foundation in The USA,which came out from the initial ideas from Melissa and I,to establish a easy way to help donors to send the donation in the Cawor program and get their tax restourn, we got involved other people who are Don Namegabe who already had innitiate a work with Immigrants in The USA ,Wael who's a lawyer and our law adviser, and Henry Namegabe who's helps spiritualy the immigrants in Lexington kentucky, puting our hearts together we came to a conclusion of starting a non profit and have the immigrant people together and help them settle in the USA, make job for them and again get them involved and usefull for the vulnerables, widows and orphans from back home where people are in trouble with wars, hunger, earth desorder,genocides in differents parts of the world. (Soudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Darfur,...)
